Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)- M.Tech
- Work productively as Computer Engineers by bringing the physical, analytical and computational approaches to bear on the challenges they take on, abstracting essential structure, recognizing sources of uncertainty, and applying appropriate models, technical tools, and evaluations to develop their solutions.
- To promote among student graduates the ability to gain multidisciplinary knowledge through projects and industrial training, leading to a sustainable competitive edge in R&D and meeting societal needs.
- To promote the research, product implementation and services in the field of Computer Science and Engineering through strong technical, communication and entrepreneurial skills.
- To promote life-long self-learning abilities through the successful completion of advanced degrees, continuing education, certifications and/or other professional developments in order to remain professionally effective to the society at large.
- Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems
- Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

B.Tech
BTech (Bachelor of Technology) in Computer Science is an undergraduate academic degree in the field of engineering and technology. The program typically lasts for 4 years and covers various aspects of engineering, including theoretical and practical components. Students who complete a BTech program are equipped with a strong foundation in mathematical, scientific, and technical concepts, as well as hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing engineering solutions. The btech program at MEA Engineering College debuted in 2002. We are delighted to share that in 2020, our B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering program received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). This recognition reflects the high quality of our program and our commitment to providing students with a superior education in computer science and engineering.
Graduates of the curriculum are prepared for a range of positions in the computer science and engineering industry, such as software development, network engineering, data analysis, and more. The program’s graduates have the abilities and expertise required to succeed in these occupations, which call for a thorough understanding of computer systems, programming languages, M.Tech and data structures.
M.Tech
The M.Tech. (Master of Technology) in Computer Science and Engineering is a postgraduate programme that offers advanced knowledge and abilities in a variety of technological and scientific fields. The program was initiated in 2012 with the intention of enhancing students’ knowledge of computer science. We’re proud to announce that the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has granted its accreditation to our M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering programme in 2020. This accreditation guarantees that our graduates will receive a top-notch education and be well-prepared for their future endeavors. It normally takes two years to complete the course, which consists of both coursework and research.
The M.Tech. programme in computer science often includes lessons on subjects including computer networks and systems, algorithms, software engineering, databases, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer graphics, and computer vision, among others. Students’ research and problem-solving abilities will be strengthened through the coursework, which is intended to give them in-depth knowledge of advanced computer science topics.
Students will team up with a faculty member to complete a research project or thesis in addition to their courses. Through the project, students will acquire practical experience in applying their theoretical knowledge to actual problems, which will help them enhance their research and critical thinking skills.
In essence, the M.Tech. programme in computer science provides students proper guidance in a variety of computer science fields and equips them for positions in academia, industry, or research. A foundation for PhD-level study and research is also provided by the curriculum.
PhD
The PhD program in Computer Science is a highly-regarded research-oriented degree program aimed at preparing students for careers in academia, research, and industry. The program was started in 2021 and has gained recognition for its high-quality curriculum and excellent faculty.
The PhD program typically lasts for four to six years and includes coursework, comprehensive exams, and a research thesis. During this time, students work closely with faculty members on research projects, helping to advance the field of computer science and engineering. Graduates of the PhD in CSE program are well-equipped to pursue careers as professors, researchers, or advanced technical professionals in the technology industry.
The program curriculum is carefully crafted to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the field of computer science. Students take courses in areas such as algorithms, programming languages, software engineering, databases, artificial intelligence, and more. The program also includes a substantial research component, in which students are required to complete a thesis based on their own original research. A PhD in Computer Science and Engineering is a demanding yet fulfilling degree programme that is excellent for people who are passionate about computer science and engineering and who want to work in academia, research, or industry. The PhD in CSE programme equips students with the knowledge and abilities necessary for professional success through its advanced curriculum, emphasis on research, and opportunities for close collaboration with faculty.

MEA Engineering College is an active local chapter of National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). NPTEL is one of the national coordinators of MHRD’s prestigious Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) programme – The Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) initiative by Indian Academia. All courses offered by NPTEL are part of SWAYAM. Students and faculty from MEA Engineering College can access all the study materials of the courses offered by NPTEL. They can also register for the courses offered by SWAYAM and NPTEL, enjoying the special benefits offered for the Local Chapter candidates. A few candidates from MEAEC also bagged “Elite” certification for the different courses as they were placed in top ranks in the certification exams. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering provides Research labs for pre-final students. The students get a platform to explore and enhance their research skills, as well as to gain an understanding of the latest trends in computer science.
For every student studying pre-final year classes, the department organised a two-hour lab session per week. The Students are able to present topics in their own interest areas at the end of the semester. With the help of Latex, each student creates a paper and a set of presentation slides that follow the IEEE standard.
It provides students with a structured environment where they can experiment, collaborate and share ideas. Students can also take advantage of the lab’s schedule to plan their research projects ahead of time and make sure that they are on track with their studies.
The research lab provides pre-final students with a unique opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment, while also being exposed to new ideas and trends that will help them excel in their future careers.
