PONNONAM 2019
Onam 2019 was celebrated in MEA Engineering College under the Students Union on 21.10.2019. Various events were conducted as part of the celebration as follows, Pookalam, Malayali Manka, Biscuit Eating, Mulaku theeta, Pattabishekam, Panchagusti, Podipatti, Uriyadi, sack racing etc. Various committees including staff members and students were formed for the smooth conduct of program. Onam Sady was also arranged for students and staff members as part of the program. Budget allocated towards the conduct of program was Rs. 2, 80,500/- and the total expenses incurred is Rs. 3, 00, 500/-
MEA COLLEGE MAGAZINE 2020
MEA engineering college magazine 2020 has got its own versatile social commitment unlike others.
NAAMIDANGAL
- The first live program of magazine 2020 was named as naamidangal.

MAGAZINE OFFICIAL LOGO LAUNCH AND TEASER RELEASE
1st November 2019 witnessed one of the real social commited live program on college. Caption writing about the valayar issue. About 20 students participate and react about the social issue.

Students Union activities 2017- 2018
MEA Engineering college student union has got its own versatile social commitment unlike others. After the Parliamentary election is held various positions are allotted for students. The student’s council is formed comprising of one student representative from each department from the student’s council one student is being elected as college union chairman.
The First event conducted by union was the Iftar meet inside the campus. Later on student union moved to conduct Onam celebration inside the campus.
The students involve themselves in events such as their batch days, Independence day, teachers day, engineers day, republic day and various activities.
The union played an active role in conducting Annual sports meet and Arts fest (MECAF) effectively. International and national Teachers day is being organized for last 2 years by union. The 2017-18 student union of MEA has initiated with Blood Donors Unit, MEA. Till now our Blood donors unit contributed 199 units to the society .
Community Mass wedding named as Mehar is being conducted for past 3 years by student union of MEA.
The students union also represents various sports committees, arts committees, cultural and magazine and academic calendar committees. The college union bearers also participate in the preparation of college academic calendar every year to plan college activities department wise.
Our college union also actively engaging many social activities like pain and palliative care activities in association with local bodies and various clubs. And we have a unique group of students under college union for collecting money for helping their friends in case of hospital emergencies and accident cases.
There is a staff advisor for the college union to guide the students in the smooth and effective functioning of the above said activities.
