TACS-Technical Association for Cyber Streams
Technical Association for Cyber Streams, TACS is the association of students, with the guidance of faculty and Staff, of Department of Computer Science & Engineering of MEA Engineering College. It provides a platform for its members to practice and apply their professional fields of studies to accomplish a society.
Technical Association for Cyber Streams is meant for enhancing and encouraging the Technical/Non-Technical activities of CSE Students. TACS will be the sole convener of all extracurricular activities organized by Dept. of CSE.
With top-notch, excellent and friendly faculty to guide, TACS prepares its members to be tomorrow’s leaders in designing, constructing and assessing solutions that will transform society, business, policy, and law or be used to computationally reason about these complex socio-computational transformations.
The uniqueness of our Association is that anyone with interest in any specialities of computer science can make a significant contribution on establishing this society. We believe that this kind of uniqueness of our association enables us to invite anyone in our school to take a part and furthermore, helps us to serve our association’s motto “Nurturing Talents…” in the best interest as we unify and combine different fields of studies such as arts and technology, and members gain the best result as an association.
Students will not only have an opportunity to practice their personal skills but also will be able to obtain satisfaction as they can actualize their dreams and hobbies that they had to set aside during the semesters due to overwhelming academics works and other tasks.
Computer Society of India (CSI)
Computer Society of India (CSI) is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. Institution availed CSI membership in October 2018 and it is attached to CSI Cochin Chapter. Our Membership ID is M10563.

Women Welfare Wing (WWW)
Women welfare wing is established in the department to promote the interest and ensure the welfare of female students and staff. The wing facilitates and enables an environment where girls are treated with dignity and respect. The grievances of girl students were receiving by the coordinators in various modes like oral, written, e-mails, or even through social media. They can submit their grievances either directly or indirectly. The coordinators will rectify from their end or through the counselor of the college or even on the basis of the intensity and nature we can forward the case to the police department. As the cyber-crime victims are mostly girls, under the banner of Women Welfare Wing, department organized an awareness program on cyber-crime on 10 th April – 2019 which was led by Mr. Abdul Najeeb, ASI of police, Special branch, Palakkad.

IIIC - Industry Institute Interaction Cell
The department of Computer Science and Engineering has a cell exclusively for communication with industry which was formed with the purpose of providing connection between students and faculty with industry.The Industry Institute Interaction cell provides a platform for training students and preparing them to meet industrial needs of the day.
The activities under the Industry Institute Interaction cell include:
- Memorandum of Understanding with different software companies
- Industrial Visits
- Internships or Industrial training
- Seminars/ Technical Talks
- Workshops/Faculty Development Programs

IEEE Computer Society
The IEEE Computer Society is the chief hotspot for data, motivation, and cooperation in software engineering. Associating individuals around the world, the Computer Society enables the individuals who advance innovation by conveying apparatuses for people at all phases of their expert professions. Our believed assets incorporate universal gatherings, peer-inspected productions, a hearty advanced library, internationally perceived models, and consistent learning openings. On 2012 IEEE MEA Student branch launched Computer Society Chapter.
